Sold on the TabletPC!

As part of a Holiday Tech Hardware roundup for my college newspaper, I've been sent a TabletPC by HP. Originally, I was firmly of the mind that the TabletPC was a solution looking for a problem. Having had access to one for a few hours now, I'm ready to reverse my position somewhat. It all comes down to a killer app, in this case, Microsoft OneNote. The TabletPC 2005 Upgrade that comes with XP SP2 put it right over the top. I'm finding it genuinely useful, even it my handwriting sucks (although the Tablet doesn't seem to care). By the way, this entire post was written using the Text Input Panel. It took longer, because I type far faster then I write, but it got the job done.

Don't I wish. Nope, I have to send it back in 14 days. That's going to be hard as hell, because I'm quickly finding it indispensable. I'm taking it to my 4-hour class today and see how the battery holds up.
