So it apparently wasn't final before, but now it is; Netflix ... er, flicks, will be available by internet download to properly equipped TiVo units. Big win for consumers, and some much needed positive press after DirecTV basically kicked TiVo to the curb, selling their stake and going to NDS for future DVR units (NDS and DirecTV are both owned by News Corp. and Rupert Murdoch).

One thought about this article, though. It says that the TiVo CEO, Mike Ramsay, resigned from the Netflix Board of Directors to avoid conflicts of interest.

Uh, isn't the time to avoid conflicts of interest BEFORE the deal is negotiated, not after? Too bad Rupert doesn't have the same conflict of interest issues.
