Warner Bros. buys Monolith

Monolith, the folks in Kirkland, WA behind the The Matrix Online have been purchased by Warner Bros. Interactive. I don't quite know if that's a good or bad thing yet, but I'm leaning towards good. Monolith consistently puts out great games with fantastic technology, and I've been a fan for a long time.

The Warners must have liked what they've seen to invest in the company, but I'm hoping that Lith gets to maintain some of their individuality and personality, and doesn't become just another item in a portfolio.

That said, I'm really looking forward to the new Matrix game, but I haven't been able to sneak into the beta test yet.
