Life Mimics Art, Puerto Rico Shutdown

Speaking of The West Wing, in a stunning example of events in the "real world" running parallel to episodes of a TV show, Puerto Rico's government has run out of money and has (partially) shut down all governmental services, including public schools. Of course, The West Wing had the US government shut down during a tense budget battle between President Bartlett and the Republican Speaker of the House.

The stats? 500,000 students were sent home from school, and 100,000 have lost their jobs (40,000 of those are teachers).

You should check Puerto Rico's news today (maybe San Juan Star). Your theory is correct.
