Snow Day!

It never ceases to amaze me how the entire city of Seattle just freaks out at the threat of snow. A mere quarter of an inch will throw traffic into a tizzy and have schools closing their doors.

Sure enough, despite roads being clear and no visible accumulation that I could see while driving in, I arrived at the University of Washington's Bothell campus just in time yesterday evening to hear that they were closing it. They even had a barricade by a hill next to the parking structure. The real bummer is that I was really looking forward my International Relations class last night, and the discussion on Outsourcing was sure to be ... lively.

By this morning, any trace of snow was eradicated, but various forecasts are saying that we could get more today and possibly over the weekend. As a Christmas baby ... I would gladly give up a little snow now for a White Christmas.

How funny. W.W.U. seems to never close due to snow.
