Microsoft will not replace your scratched 360 discs

Shortly after the Xbox 360 launch, pictures started showing up of what the machine will do to the game discs when you play with it in the "cool" vertical stance. (Of course, whether or not the damage is happening because the 360 gets knocked over or not is a whole different issue.)

Microsoft is supposedly refusing to replace damaged discs, though they will repair Xbox 360's that exhibit the problem, as well as offering "Perfect Dark Zero" as a replacement game.

Something tells me that we haven't heard the end of this ...
