7,680 x 4,320 progressive scan, 60 frames per second. That's 32 megapixel. 22.2 surround sound. And it's coming ... well, lets just say that it's not coming any time soon. HDTV was being spec'ed out by NHK back in the '60's, so I'd expect that we're looking at another 30-40 years at a bear minimum before we see this become a reality.
Of course, you could just chain four HDTV monitors together in a square and call it a day ...
