Google Officewarming
The wife and I went to the Google officewarming party in Kirkland last night. Great office space, lots of room to think, friendly employees, and quite a fine spread catering-wise. Ran into Robert Scoble there, but didn't get much of a chance to talk, as he was in pretty high demand.
They had a projected screen in their office lobby that was running a random selection of search results. I couldn't take my eyes off it ... it was worse than reality TV. People search on the damnedest things. It seemed to be filtered, but not completely, as there were some rather prurient searches going on, which my wife and I chuckled over. I kept finding my eyes drifting back to it when I was talking with people. Incredibly voyeuristic.
Anyway, I fired off a resume to the folks at Google, who it seems are looking for a couple of folks at this office. Hopefully I'll get a call.
