BBC NEWS | Technology | YouTube hits 100m videos per day

Microsoft has always said that despite their absolute dominance in operating systems, that a kid is his garage could potentially put them out of business.

While it's not that extreme, YouTube has come out of nowhere to dominate video delivery and video search. 60% marketshare with no real advertising (just an incredibly viral video sharing mechanism) is phenomenal.

Never let it be said that a small company can't compete against the big boys, because YouTube has done just that with Microsoft and Google.
