I'm really looking forward to seeing "The Da Vinci Code" when it hits theaters next month, but of course, the publicity engine is trying to renew the debate on whether or not the material presented in the novel is fact. The sticking point seems to be that Brown says that it's fact on the first page of the book.

I don't see why there's any debate at all. The book is in the fiction section of every bookstore I've seen it in, and that tells me all I need to know about the accuracy of the facts, or lack thereof.

That said, the thoughts and ideas Brown presents are certainly intriguing.
