Apple Boot Camp (Hell Freezes Over)
Either someone has quietly killed Steve Jobs and replaced him with a facsimile, or he's gone quite insane. Either way, Apple has released a public beta of "Boot Camp", a utility that allows you to legally and easily dual boot OSX and Windows XP (and later, Vista) on your Mac.
Now the only thing standing in Apple's way of world domination is their pricing.
Update: The more I think about this, the more I realize what brilliant strategy this is. Windows runs on just about any computer, and now, pretty much does run on any computer. Apple's biggest problem has been convincing them that MacOS is worth the "switch" to new hardware, not to mention giving up what they've already known.
Now, people can buy a MacBook Pro, load Windows on it, and with any luck, curiosity will get the best of them. They'll try it, and maybe they like it ... perhaps even enough to buy some native OSX apps like the iLife suite. Pretty soon, Apple has them hooked. And all because they opened up a bit.
