Xbox-Scene News: Run Windows MediaCenter Applications on Xbox 360

While over at Andru's, I asked about how the media center stuff worked, and Andru seemed to like it, though he doesn't use it much. Turns out that there's a little extra value there if you if you happen to have the Media Center Edition of Windows XP. Xbox 360 should be able to run a lot of the Media Center specific applications, designed for the "10-foot interface" or whatever they call it.

Inexplicably, Microsoft doesn't make it easy to upgrade to the Media Center Edition even if you already have the hardware to make it work, but for those inclined to give it a shot, apparently this might do the trick.
