PC Plus - HelpDesk - Microsoft's free font editor
If you've ever wondered what it might be like to make your own font (I should say typeface), now you can give it a try. The Private Character Editor lets you make a pixel version of your typeface, which can be interpreted into vectors by the engine. You can give it a try by clicking Start, Run, and typing "eudcedit.exe". If you have it on your machine, this should run it.
For Tablet users, Microsoft has a "My Font" PowerToy that lets you make a font (again, typeface is more appropriate) of your own handwriting. I've used this to create several of my own typefaces and it's always fun to change your Windows Desktop to be a true reflection of yourself.
