Microsoft Gadgets ... poor Arlo

Man, Arlo's idea is getting ripped off left and right. First, Apple rips off Konfabulator, then Yahoo buys them out. Now not only is Microsoft cribbing the same idea, but they've taken the name from the guys at StarDock, who are doing the same thing with Desktop X. (I've got an e-mail in to Brad Wardell to find out if Microsoft is working with Stardock on the Gadgets.)

Still, it'll be interesting ... one feature that sounds promising is the ability to use a Gadget on your auxillary display. If you have one, that is. I don't have one on my laptop, but I'm debating adding one to my desktop. Also of note is the throwaway line about using your cell phone as an auxillary display. Now THAT's intriguing, and surely a way to leverage the Windows Mobile platform.
