Google's Seattle Housewarming

Google is opening an office here in Seattle, and Robert Scoble at Microsoft invited me to come and check it out with him and a couple of his other "friends". I put friends in quotes, because besides posting in his blog every-so-often and exchanging the rare e-mail, I hardly know the guy.

This is kind of exciting for me, because while I've put my career on hold while I get the college "grunt-work" out of the way, I'm trying to keep my finger on the pulse of the industries I'm interested in. Something like this is a good opportunity to network not just with Google, but other companies that will be represented there, including Microsoft.

Plus, I'll be able to write a nice piece on it for The Commons, and that's always a bonus.

congrats :) Robert was cool enough to extend the invitation to my insignificant self, but I realized afterwards that it was the precise day my Sis was flying down from Seattle that morning. Guh. and i'm not exactly "local" :/ and it's on a work day. i should practice thinking before writing :|
