Who Needs a Hardware Accellerated Network Card?

Apparently, Bigfoot seems to think gamers do. A 400Mhz "network processing unit" (NPU, natch) and 64MB of DDR top the list of specs that precisely no one asked for. Isn't the Internet itself the bottleneck?
