Search Trends - 98052 - Metamend’s Search Engine Optimization Blog
For those not from the area, the zip code 98052 is Redmond, WA ... home of Microsoft's corporate office.
So, the results of these search trends? Over 90% of searches originating from Redmond (presumably heavily skewed by Microsoft employees) go through GOOGLE.
Google has an office in Washington as well, but they're in Kirkland, a different zip code. So you might think MSN would rank second, right? Nope, Yahoo comes in with 5.5%. MSN has a pitiful 1.27%.
The obvious conclusion about this is that even Microsoft's own employees know that Google is a superior search experience.

I'm not sure it's fair to assume that the majority MSN employees are predominantly using Google over MSN Search. The zip code covers an area does it not? What portion of this area is made up of MSN employees compared to civilians? The zip code does not only cover the MSN offices?
