Geometry Wars Evolved

I would be remiss if I didn't mention that Geometry Wars is, as the kids call it these days, the shit. There's literally nothing to it, the graphics are very primitive, but it looks amazing due to the fantastic particle effects that make it look like everything is happening all at once. It's a very simple game, you use only the two analog sticks, with the left stick used to move, and the right stick used to fire (independently of your movement). It's reminiscent of Robotron 2084, with enemies coming from all directions and an enclosed space so you can't escape. Games are short, but oh so sweet, and you eventually get into this zen state where you are playing on sheer instinct. Any Xbox 360 owner needs to hop into the Xbox 360 Marketplace and download this game. For $5 ... it's a steal, and will easily tide you over until better games come out later next year.
