Ever wonder how one of those self-heating cans works? pt himself, Phillip Torrone takes one apart to discover what's creating the exothermic reaction (putting out heat for those of you that slept through Chem125). Turns out that it's just Calcium Oxide (QuickLime) and good ol' Dihydrogen Monoxide (careful ... that last one is a killer!) mixed with a delivery system covered by two patents.
