Legit Reviews - How To Build A Sonoma Notebook

Looking for a decent standard notebook computer (read: non-Tablet), and don't want to pay premium prices?

Legit Reviews shows you how to build a notebook computer based on the Sonoma platform. Normally, I wouldn't advocate building your own notebook computer, but in this case, I think it's worth a look. Why? Because they found that you can build a notebook computer equivalent (read: using the same exact parts) as the Voodoo PC Envy N:532 for less than HALF the cost.

That's right, if this thing breaks, you can build an entire second backup machine. That's absolutely sick.

Too bad that there wasn't a similar option for TabletPCs. Not that I'm not thrilled with my Tecra M4, but saving a little cash is always nice.

Speaking of which, I know I'm long overdue for a review. It's coming, hopefully soon. In short, it's a great machine, save for it running just a tad hot (especially in Tablet mode where the screen covers the keyboard and heat has only one way out), and the battery life being less than desirable.
