Free Cash for the Holidays

Those of you that have hung around here for a while know about my Free iPod from FreeiPods.com. I've been telling everyone I meet all about it. There are several other sites out there that are giving away digital cameras, digital video recorders, personal video players, etc. Well, the latest trend is to allow you to opt for cash deposited directly into your PayPal account. NICE. Some of them offer a "bonus" item too, like the Harmony 688 remote at DVRs4Free.com.

In most cases, the safe route to go is to do a free trial, like the Blockbuster Online (like Netflix) one. Read the offers carefully, and know how to cancel them. Most importantly, know if you have to wait a specific amount of time to cancel (some you can cancel the next day, and some you have to wait until the end of the trial). Write yourself a note to remind yourself (or use an Outlook reminder, like I do). Of course, if there is an offer that you have to pay to complete, like the PetMedsRX one, if you can use the products, that's a good way to go as well.
