Racist Like Me - Why am I the only honest bigot? By Debra Dickerson

I largely find Slate (MSN's online opinion magazine) to be pompous and self-righteous, but every so often, they write a piece that resonates. I try to be as tolerant as the next guy, but I think we all have a long way to go before we reduce racism to a subtext. I like Dickerson's idea of replacing racial conflict with class-based conflicts instead, which I think is the only way we're going to get past race issues in this century.
