orkut

After learning a bit in my Macroeconomics class (which has depressed me to the point where I joke daily about offing myself) about the value of social networking, I decided that it might be worth giving a social networking website a shot. After getting hooked on all things Google, including Blogger, I decided to give Orkut a shot. As hard as it was getting a Gmail invite, apparently Orkut is similarly exclusive.

Anyone out there have experience with these social networking sites like Orkut and Friendster?
