MSNBC - Coca-Cola promotion prompts security measures

Yet another example of how our government makes knee-jerk reactions to technology that it doesn't fully understand. These special Coke cans with the cell phone and GPS transmitter are so obviously not real coke cans, that there is little chance that they'd be brought onto a military base accidentally.

There is even smaller chance that if you did mistake the can for a real can of Coke, that you might have a can that has been tampered with and re-purposed to eavesdrop and tranmit sensitive information.

I'd even go as far as to say that the chance of either of those things happening is less likely than one of our military personnel trying to DRINK it.
